2004-2008 The air
inside the cabin of your Toyota Prius is filtered from dust and
particles by a small filter located just behind the glove box on
the passenger side. This filter will clog up very quickly and in
just a short amount of time it can fill up with dirt, leaves and
all kinds of things. Typically, you just shake it out and stick it
back in but that isn't really the best way to clean it, especially
if you have allergies.
The air filter is located in a white tray
just behind your Glove Box. To access the area behind your glove
box, locate the damper tube on the right side or your box when
opened. Pop the tube loose and then squeeze the sides of your
glove box to allow it to fully lower. Pull the white air filter
tray out and be surprised at how much dirt it has kept out of
your interior : )
Replace with a new factory filter available below. The entire process takes less than 10 minutes and can
really make a difference in how efficient your air conditioner or
heater operates, not to mention the cleaner air you can enjoy : )
The 2004-2008 Toyota Prius Cabin Air Filter is
$19.00 + (S&H). It will take approximately 10 minutes
to install.
