The Toyota Prius has many advanced features for comfort and performance, but it is lacking the option for automatic locking doors. This is included as standard equipment in many models which Toyota and other manufacturers offer, and is missed by a lot of Prius owners. Coastal Electronic Technologies has developed a plug-in kit which will signal the doors in the Prius to automatically lock when the car accelerates past 15 mph. It performs this function only once when the car is initially driven and remains invisible the rest of the time. It does not interfere with the remote control, door switches or automatic entry and is designed to seamlessly add this safety feature to the normal enjoyment of your car. As always, complete instructions with color photos are provided and no wires are cut or soldered.

The kit is $65.00+(S&H).  It will take approximately 35 minutes to install and requires only a pair of needle nose pliers and a screwdriver. 

Note: Currently this addition is only available for the 2004 - 2008 Prius model and not for the earlier 2000-2003 Prius.
