The MYGIG navigation radio can be easily updated as time goes along to keep it current with new features or when operating issues are discovered. To update the MYGIG radio, a software disc is simply inserted into the CD drive of the radio. The radio will recognize the type of CD and begin the update process automatically. There are various places available online to download the MYGIG software updates and create a CD for your own use. Many may find it difficult to properly download and format the CD for use in their MYGIG radio. We have available courtesy disks ready for you to use. There is an option available during checkout when purchasing the MYGIG LOCKPICK for the inclusion of an update disk. There is no charge for this :)

Below is a demonstration of how to install the CD and update the MYGIG radio.When the process is complete the radio will turn off and back on.
Then it may ask you if you want to install the software again.
Press NO, remove the CD and you are ready to go.

    To determine how old the software in your navigation radio is currently and if it is recommended to update, press the MENU button and then select SYSTEM INFORMATION. The latest version MYGIG software available is 2.043. If your radio is displaying an earlier number, this just reflects the possible build date of your radio and features available at that time.
    Important operational issues have been identified which may be reason to install and update the current system software to 2.043. This may include several different types of intermitting problems and operations. Also, many may experience issues with using the uCONNECT bluetooth phone system when pairing to the new iPHONE.
    The latest software addresses these issues and includes the bonus of automatically removing the "ACCEPT" button press after displaying it for a few seconds. This may be reason enough for many to wish to update :) Many other enhancements to graphics and displayed real-time Sirius traffic information have recently been added as well.
We recommend the update for applications below 9.5xx to correct and standardize MYGIG operation.

    MYGIG LOCKPICK INFO

    The MYGIG Lockpick V5 is an accessory available from CoastalEtech to unlock all blocked functions of your MYGIG radio. It is designed to operate in standard and navigation equipped MYGIG radios and installs with a simple plug and play harness. No switches or cut wires to install. The Lockpick allows full use of your navigation equipped system while in motion and allows unblocked use of DVD play in all radios. It also unlocks an automatic rear view or on-demand camera input plus - all VES (rear entertainment) functions for the front screen viewing including the VES DVD player, AUX IN and the SAT TV are unlocked.... or the Lockpick can add the VES mode to vehicles not equipped. The addition of the VES mode in non equipped vehicles can allow a simple Video and Audio input for any aftermarket accessories you may wish to connect and view through your front screen. An A/V cable with inputs and outputs is INCLUDED to make your custom installation of additional multimedia pieces a breeze!!
